How can we help this?
Can it be stopped?
Slowed down?

There are no direct answers as how to help these climate change
refugees and slow (or stop!) the ever-rising frequency of the disasters
plaguing the Earth. Reducing carbon emissions, recycling, and other
seemingly obvious tasks could be enough if done on a large enough scale. The
problem citizens of the United States is having is the thought that it is
someone else's predicament. Climate change refugees should be welcomed; it
could happen to anyone.
I like that you put a lot of facts in here to show how bad climate change is. It is a scary thought that climate change could literally affect anyone and not many people realize that.
ReplyDeleteThose statistics are so terrifying and they really bring home how dire the situation is! Similar to the companies and the authorities in The Grapes of Wrath, I think the US might just be digging their own grave by being so reluctant to help those who are currently being affected by climate change. When the problem hits home we may not have anyone to turn to for help...
ReplyDeleteI agree with Nicole! Add some links to your text!
ReplyDeleteThose statistics are so horrifying that it seems like they couldn't possibly be real. It's scary to think about what the future will look like if we don't make a better effort to stop climate change. I liked how the images you chose are so impactful! They really make you stop and think.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the questions you posed about how can we stop this seemingly imposable task. I often ask myself the same question.
